Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration primer

Hey all!

I received a sample pack of this moisturizer when I purchased a magazine but I cannot remember which magazine it was from. The most important bit it that I really like this moisturizer. It is a water-based therefore your skin will absorb it real quickly, you do not have to wait for a long time for the moisturizer to dry before applying your makeup. Plus, it can double up as a primer if your skin is not too oily. I do still use a primer after applying this moisturizer as it helps to prevent my face from turning oily for a longer period of time than using either one of them on its own.

This moisturizer is scented but it will fade off once you have applied your foundation and concealer. There is no colour to it and it does not help to cover pores. A little goes a long way, about a pea size amount is enough for the whole face. The only thing that I dislike about this product is the packaging. The product in the container will become more 'unhygienic' over time where bacteria and germs from the air and fingers contaminate the product which may cause breakouts and stuff. All in all it is really worthwhile to use this especially when it cost only 5 pounds for 50ml of product.

I will recommend this product if you do not have very dry skin as it this may not be moisturizing enough for dry skin.

L'Occitane lipstick

Hello!

In 01, Brun Discret

I bought this in France while shopping at L'Occitane because the packaging is so so uber pretty! The packaging is somewhat similar to Paul & Joe's lipstick. Sadly this lipstick is not sold in Singapore, but they do sell it in Taiwan, as for other Asian countries, that I'm not too sure.

Anyway I really enjoyed using this lipstick, it is a neutral colour and goes well with most makeup look. It is my to-go colour if I can't decide what to lipstick colour to wear. It is slightly glossy and is pretty sheer, like less opaque that Revlon's lip butter in peach parfait. It kept my lips moisturized the whole time while using it. After the lipstick colour wears off, it will not cause my lips to feel dry which is great. On the downside, it is not long lasting, you have to reapply it pretty often. Therefore, you could finish the entire lipstick in 1&1/2 months if you were to use and reapply every single day.

I would recommend this lipstick if you don't mind it being not a long wearing lipstick. They have it in other shades if you are interested in this product, I have added a link below =)

Lancome Hypnose waterproof mascara

Hello!

I recently purchased this at the duty free counter in the airport because it is so much cheaper than at the the regular counters. I really needed to get a new tube of mascara too as the old one ( heroine mascara) that I was using for slightly more than 3 months have dried up. Heroine Mascara is good too by the way.

The formula is not heavy, lengthens your lashes much more that other brands and require much lesser coats of mascara for it to look visibly long, meaning less time required to apply mascara. It is able to hold the curl for a long duration, throughout the day actually. It does not volumise your lashes much but is able to separate  each lash nicely without causing sparse spots on your lids.  but However, it still smudges around the lower eye area due to my oily lids, sigh, never a mascara which will not cause that to happen so far =/  but it was not that bad.

left eye with mascara, right eye without mascara

I really do like that mascara but not to the extend that I will stop my quest to find the best mascara as I believe that there may be other brands which will be better than this mascara... hopefully

I will be off to Taiwan this weekend and will go crazy makeup shopping there hehe =D can't wait!

Hunger Games nail polish by China Glaze ( Fast Track)

Hello!

After a long wait, I finally got my hands on the hunger games nail polishes.

Hunger games collection

Fast Track

I absolutely adore this nude colour and this is by far the first time I have worn and love a nude coloured nail polish. This is probably due to the gold and pink fine shimmer in it. It is well pigmented and does not look streaky when you apply it, only two coats is required for it to look opaque.

The other nail polish colour which I purchased alongside with Fast Track is Luxe and Lush. I will be doing a seperate review on that nail polish on a later date.

Revlon Lip butter

Hello!

It has been a long time since Revlon lip butters were launched in several countries, and despite that, I will be doing a short review on it. I purchased these lip butter earlier during April and haven using them often ever since, especially the colour in peach parfait. I have used it so often that I have finished one and purchased another in the same colour.

Peach Parfait

Sweet Tart

Most colours in general in this collection are well pigmented, these are mainly the stronger/ brighter colours. The lighter colours are not as pigmented, thus swatches on hand may end up looking different from when you wear it your lip. Even though Peach Parfait looks slightly sheer when swatched on the back of the hand, the colour is distinctly visible on the lips.It is really moisturising, and does not cause your lips to feel dry after wearing it for a period of time.

On the down side, there is really little product in each tube, colour wears off pretty easily and it will be used up quickly if you consistently reapply your lipstick. Regardless, I highly recommend this product as it is one of the best drugstore lipstick that I have tried so far.

Ettusais mini nail polish

Hey all!

I would to apologize for not updating the blog for a really long time as I was travelling a bit and have been busy working since I reach home (Singapore) the last 2 months.

I will start off by doing a short review on Ettusais mini nail polish which I have been buying for the last 3 years. The range of mini Ettusais nail polish is usually available once a year somewhere in the middle of the year.

From the start, I have been buying only the glitter version whenever available as I really like the texture of it. It can be used to create a gradient glitter effect which looks fabulous. On the downside, due to the small bottle, the nail polish dries really quickly even before you using half of the amount and it is pretty pricey, $5 for 2ml. Anyway, I don't think I will be buying this again unless they have more unique looking colour in the future.

All of the colours shown in the picture below were from last year's collection.

Regardless, I am still a fan of other Ettusais makeup products which I have been using consistently over 2 years. ( I will be doing reviews on other products some time later)
